Thundersley occurs as territory forming virtually all of the northern quarter of Castle Point Borough Council, in to the south east Essex, England, about 35 miles east of London.
These are bounded per A127 road to the north, in which it borders Rayleigh, the A130 road to the west where it borders Basildon, the A13 road to a south (bordering the South Benfleet district of Castle Point), + the triangular salient farther southwards when far when Benfleet Road & Thundersley Glen, & eastward beyond the A129 road bordering Daws Heath and Hadleigh, also in a borough.
Thundersley is part rural, using big outdoors & green, & partially suburban, sustaining big areas of housing & little industrial parks.
